Abstract

Purpose: This study was attempted to compare pain level of DM patients according to blood sugar test method.

Method: The subjects were 42 DM Patients who admitted in Internal Medicine Department of C-university hospital. For Data analysis The SPSS Program was used.

Result: Pain level of blood sugar test method was significantly different among three blood sugar test method( F= 28.98, P=.o). The pain level of patients used EMLA cream method was most highly lowered among thee type, and the pain level of ice pack method was lower than needle method.

Conclusion: The blood sugar test method using EMLA cream and ice method will be recommendable for DM patients to relieve pain thereby increase sugar test compliance.
